Molex & Arrow Strengthen A&D Collaboration: AirBorn Joins Arrow's IP&E Portfolio
Molex and Arrow Electronics have strengthened their collaboration in the aerospace and defence sectors. Mike Cole, Molex's senior vice-president, expressed pride in this continued partnership. Arrow Electronics, with its robust global footprint, has added AirBorn, previously a Molex company, to its interconnect, passive, and electromechanical (IP&E) components portfolio in North America and EMEA.
AirBorn, now part of Arrow's portfolio, brings seven global production sites, six in the US and one in Canada. Its extensive product range includes connectors, cable assemblies, military-grade flexible circuits, and high-level box builds. These high-reliability interconnect solutions cater to defence, aerospace, medical, and industrial markets, meeting stringent MIL-SPEC, AS9100, and ISO certifications.
Arrow Electronics' global presence in aerospace and defence technology and related supply chain solutions is bolstered by this addition. Aiden Mitchell, Arrow's global senior vice-president, noted that AirBorn's integration strengthens their role as a key supplier to the global aerospace and defence industry. Arrow's portfolio offers tailored support for engineering services, lifecycle management, intelligent data analysis, and consultation on emerging and future technologies and market trends.
Molex's new aerospace and defence division will be founded on AirBorn's portfolio, as announced by Mike Cole. This strategic move, facilitated by Arrow Electronics' strong global entry, is set to enhance both companies' offerings in the aerospace and defence sectors.
