Moroccan AI Company ToumAI Acquires €1 Million to Transform Client Interaction
ToumAI, a Moroccan AI technology company specializing in AI-driven customer experience (CX) solutions, has secured €1 million in pre-seed funding, led by Launch Africa Ventures. The funding round also saw participation from Digital Africa, Orange Ventures, Madica Ventures, GO Ventures, and business angel Bruno Akpaka.
The funding will support the continued development of ToumAI's flagship product, the HolistiCX suite. This suite enhances voice-driven applications, improves interactive voice response (IVR) systems, and enables advanced churn detection. The HolistiCX suite leverages a unique Compound AI architecture, designed to address multilingual, cultural, generational, and emotional complexities in customer interactions.
ToumAI's solutions are also aimed at providing actionable insights to enhance global customer relations through new APIs. The company plans to expand into new markets, including Tunisia, as it continues to grow.
ToumAI was founded in June 2020 as a spin-off from AIOX Labs by Odin Demassieux, Imade Benelallam, and Yousef Rhamani. It operates within a growing Moroccan tech ecosystem, benefiting from increased VC investment, rising to $95M-$177M in 2024, driven by government and private sector support. Major tech companies like Google and Meta are fostering African AI startups, creating an active environment for companies like ToumAI.
BPI France provided support for the funding round, underscoring the growing confidence in AI-driven solutions. The funding milestone is a testament to the potential of ToumAI and the AI-driven CX solutions market.
The investment in ToumAI highlights the increasing interest and financial activity in Moroccan and African AI startups. As ToumAI moves forward, it intends to offer scalable APIs that integrate data across departments, further enhancing its suite of AI-driven CX solutions.
