TVS Steps Up Its Game with New Bike Releases and Expansion into Electric Mobility

TVS Motor Company, one of India's leading two-wheeler manufacturers, has reported impressive financial results for Q1 FY26. The company's revenue from operations increased by 20% year-on-year to ₹10,081 crore, while net profit (profit after tax) rose 35% to ₹779 crore.

In the motorcycle segment, TVS saw a significant boost in sales. Motorcycle sales for Q1 FY26 increased by 21% to 6.21 lakh units, and three-wheeler sales rose by 46% to 0.45 lakh units. Scooter sales also saw a 19% increase, reaching 4.99 lakh units.

TVS is not resting on its laurels, as it continues to expand its product portfolio. The company is set to launch several new bikes in the near future, catering to various segments.

Among the upcoming TVS bikes is the TVS Apache RTX 300, a premium performance motorcycle expected to launch in August 2025 with a price starting around ₹2.6 lakh. This bike is one of the most anticipated upcoming sportbikes from TVS.

Another exciting addition to the Apache lineup is the TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi 4V E100, an electric version of the popular Apache RTR 200. Expected in March 2026, this bike is expected to be priced around ₹1.2 lakh, marking TVS's push into electric motorcycles.

TVS is also expanding the Jupiter brand with alternative fuel variants. A CNG version of the Jupiter is expected to be priced around ₹90,000, while an electric variant is expected to cost around ₹1.1 lakh. Both models are slated for launch in October 2025.

The TVS Creon, an electric scooter prototype/expected model, also contributes to TVS’s growing EV portfolio. Although details are scarce, the Creon is expected to be part of TVS’s efforts to increase its presence in the electric vehicle market.

In the affordable commuter segment, TVS is launching the Fiero 125, an entry-level 125cc model expected in May 2026 at about ₹75,000.

Other important upcoming TVS launches include the TVS Zeppelin and TVS Norton Combat. The Zeppelin is expected to be priced at ₹1.5 lakh, while the Combat, a premium V4-based bike under the Norton brand, is set to launch in March 2026.

The overall two-wheeler demand in India is gradually recovering, especially in urban and semi-urban areas. Despite the growth in sales, electric models still represent a relatively small share of TVS's total sales, but the figures point to a steady rise in adoption.

In terms of financials, the EBITDA margin for TVS improved to 12.5% in Q1 FY26 from 11.5% a year earlier, and profit before tax increased by 35% to ₹1,053 crore. However, no new information about electric vehicles or cutting-edge technology transforming the automotive landscape was provided in the article.

In summary, TVS is actively diversifying its portfolio with performance motorcycles like the RTX 300 and RR 310, electric and alternative fuel variants of popular models like the Apache 200 Fi E100 and Jupiter, alongside affordable new commuter models like the Fiero 125 and innovative electric scooters under the Creon name. The company's focus on expanding its product offerings and catering to various segments demonstrates its commitment to meeting the diverse needs of Indian consumers.

In light of TVS's financial success in the Q1 FY26, the company is venturing further into the industry by diversifying its product portfolio, introducing new bikes like the Apache RTX 300 and Apache RTR 200 Fi 4V E100 in the finance sector. Concurrently, TVS is making strides in the technology sector, as evidenced by the development of electric models such as the Apache RTR 200 Fi E100 and the TVS Creon electric scooter.
