New Lukomlsky Canning Plant Opens in Vitebsk Region, Boosting Economy and Tourism
A new Lukomlsky Canning Plant has opened in the Chashniki District of Vitebsk Region. The plant will process freshwater and marine fish and seafood, creating jobs and attracting tourists.
The plant has leased Lake Lukomlskoye for fish breeding, aiming to produce up to 50 tons of fish annually. It has already created 44 jobs and plans to add more, reaching around 70 in the future.
The Lukomlsky Canning Plant focuses on producing high-quality products from domestic raw materials. Marine fish will be supplied by a Russian partner in the Murmansk region, known for its ecologically clean environment. The plant's main market will be domestic, but it will also export products to EAEU countries.
The project cost over Br18 million, with around Br13.5 million coming from loan funds. The construction took just over a year.
The Lukomlsky Canning Plant has opened, bringing job opportunities and economic growth to the Chashniki District. Its focus on domestic raw materials and export potential signals a boost for the local and regional economy. Additionally, the plant's recreational and fishing areas are expected to attract tourists, further contributing to the region's development.
