Nokia Leads in Responsible AI with New Framework and EU Pact Compliance

The company's general counsel, Ingrid Viitanen, has stated that Nokia's dedication to the AI Pact reflects this commitment. Nokia Bell Labs, the company's research arm, has defined six key principles to guide AI research and development. These principles focus on fairness, reliability, privacy, transparency, sustainability, and accountability. Nokia has joined the AI Pact, a voluntary framework that helps companies adapt to the European Union's AI Act. The AI Pact enables companies to share experiences, participate in workshops, and prepare for compliance with the AI Act. The AI Act is a binding legal framework that regulates AI systems based on risk levels.
Nokia's commitment to responsible AI is evident in its establishment of the AI Governance Framework program and its adherence to the six principles defined by Nokia Bell Labs.
