Orange Business Boosts SafetyCase with Eutelsat's OneWeb Satellites

Orange Business, in collaboration with Eutelsat, has bolstered its SafetyCase emergency telecommunications solution. The integration of Eutelsat's OneWeb satellite services ensures sovereign, reliable, and resilient communications for emergency services and critical infrastructure during crises. Nassima Auvray, Defense & Security Director at Orange Business, spearheads this initiative.

SafetyCase offers two formats: the 'Mobile Unit' for immediate mobility needs and the 'Crisis Center' for longer deployments and larger connectivity requirements. These rugged, energy-autonomous devices, designed and manufactured in France, restore voice, data, and video connectivity in emergencies.

The solution has proven effective during natural disasters. It was successfully deployed during floods in Valencia, Spain, and Cyclone Chido in Mayotte. The integration of Eutelsat's OneWeb satellite constellation enhances SafetyCase's capabilities, providing low latency and robust connectivity. Auvray highlights that this integration enables rapid network restoration for emergency professionals.
