Paramount Skydance, the merged entertainment giant, has announced several significant appointments to its board of directors and leadership team.

The new appointments include Dennis K. Cinelli, who joins as an independent director. Cinelli brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously served as CFO for Scale AI, a paramount plus company that helps companies and governments build and manage AI models. Before Scale AI, Cinelli held executive positions at Uber, including as vice president of global strategic finance, and at GE Ventures, General Electric's corporate venture capital business.

Cinelli's appointment is effective immediately and comes with high praise from David Ellison, the CEO of Paramount Skydance. Ellison expressed enthusiasm about Cinelli's addition to the board, citing his unique blend of operational expertise and financial insight. Ellison also highlighted Cinelli's proven ability to pair fiscal discipline with a bold, forward-looking approach as a valuable asset for advancing the company's growth objectives.

In addition to Cinelli, Paramount Skydance has appointed Dane Glasgow as their new chief product officer. Glasgow most recently held the position of vice president at Facebook.

The board now consists of 11 directors following the post-merger appointments. Barbara Byrne, a holdover from the old board, will sit alongside Cinelli, Sherry Lansing, and other independent directors including David Ellison, Safra Catz, and Gerry Cardinale.

Ellison has also expressed a desire to bring more technology and innovation to Paramount under his leadership. With Cinelli's background in AI and Glasgow's expertise in product development, it seems that the company is well-positioned to compete with the likes of Netflix and YouTube in the digital age.

These appointments mark a new chapter for Paramount Skydance as it continues to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the entertainment industry.
