Phoenix Contact Boosts Global Presence with Perle Systems Acquisition
Phoenix Contact, a global automation technology leader, has expanded its globle presence with the acquisition of Perle Systems. The Canadian company, established in 1976, brings extensive product know-how and a successful global online business to the Phoenix Contact Group.
Perle Systems, now a subsidiary, will continue operating under its own name and has around 50 employees. Frank Stührenberg, CEO of Phoenix Contact, sees the acquisition as a strategic move to expand the product portfolio and digitize business models, leveraging Perle Systems' expertise in industrial networking.
Phoenix Contact aims to develop Perle Systems into another center of competence for industrial networking. The company offers a wide range of products and solutions, including media converters, industrial Ethernet switches, and serial devices. This acquisition strengthens Phoenix Contact's Industry 4.0 solutions competence and bolsters its position in the global market.
With the acquisition of Perle Systems, Phoenix Contact strengthens its international presence and expands its expertise in industrial networking.
