At night, the Turning Red extravaganza continues during Together Forever: A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. The initial segment spotlights Mei's introduction with friends and her red panda transformation practice, all set against fading daylight and a fantastic backdrop of fireworks. It's thrilling to see a colossal kaiju-sized Mei on top of Sleeping Beauty castle, taking the show by storm.
KC Wilkerson, the principal media designer for Disney Live Entertainment at the Disneyland Resort and show director for the return of Together Forever, shares some insights: "Together Forever is a tale about bonding with friends, going on adventures, and overcoming obstacles together." He notes that the narrative of Turning Red harmonizes perfectly with the parade's theme, creating a magical experience for spectators.
"We've reimagined the final walk-out of the show, swapping out the song for an enchanting instrumental version of 'Nobody Like You' from Turning Red," Wilkerson adds. And it's an enchanting way to conclude the spectacle.
