Porsche Unveils First Electric Cayenne SUV in Late 2025, India in 2026

Porsche is set to unveil its first fully electric Cayenne SUV, the Cayenne Electric, globally in late 2025 and in India in the second half of 2026. The luxury carmaker has already given a sneak peek into the vehicle's advanced interior, showcasing a seamless, curved OLED screen and extensive customisation options.

The Cayenne Electric's standout feature is the Flow Display, a 14.25-inch curved OLED screen that combines the digital instrument cluster with navigation and driver assistance systems. This is the largest screen ever installed in a Porsche vehicle.

The interior offers a plethora of customisation options, including 13 colour combinations, four interior packages, and five accent packages. The new Porsche Digital Key uses Ultra Wideband technology for smartphone and smartwatch-based car key functionality.

Built on Porsche's 800V PPE electric architecture, the Cayenne Electric is expected to deliver over 1,000 horsepower and a range of up to 600 kilometres. It introduces electrically adjustable rear seats and Mood Modes for customised atmospheres. A large sliding panoramic sunroof with Variable Light Control and new surface heating technology are also featured.

The SUV comes with an AI-powered voice assistant, Voice Pilot, for natural language control of various functions and navigation assistance. An optional 14.9-inch passenger display and AR head-up display with an effective 87-inch display size are also available.

The Cayenne Electric is set to compete with premium electric SUVs like the BMW XM and Mercedes-Benz G580 in India, with a starting price above ₹2 crore ex-showroom. Porsche is expected to officially present the vehicle in India by the end of 2025, launching it parallel to current combustion and hybrid models around that time.
