Porsche's First Electric SUV, Cayenne Electric, Set for 2025 Launch
Porsche is preparing to introduce its first electric SUV, the Cayenne Electric, in late 2025. The German automaker is ensuring the EV delivers genuine Porsche performance, even in extreme conditions.
Porsche has invested heavily in advanced simulations and digital development for the Cayenne Electric. Over 120 physical prototypes were replaced with virtual ones, saving time and resources. The company has also built a next-gen simulator that recreates real-world driving conditions, including laps on the Nürburgring.
Pre-production models are currently accumulating over 150,000 km in various driving conditions to ensure durability. Porsche is also testing the EV in extreme environments, from deserts to tundra, to confirm its performance. Virtual reality and AI have been used to test components in their earliest design stages.
The Cayenne Electric will feature more powerful cooling and heating systems than any previous Porsche EV, ensuring reliable performance in extreme temperatures. Porsche is combining innovative digital development with classic track-honed engineering to achieve this.
The Cayenne Electric, Porsche's first electric SUV and a significant milestone for the brand, is set to make its global debut towards the end of 2025. With extensive testing in extreme conditions and a focus on genuine Porsche performance, the EV is poised to make a strong entrance into the market.
