The wait is finally over! The AYANEO Pocket S2 has made its debut on Indiegogo, accompanied by the high-end Pocket S2 Pro. In a lively YouTube livestream, AYANEO revealed the remaining details for the Pocket S2, launched its Indiegogo campaign, and made an exciting surprise announcement.
The Pocket S2 will be available in an 8GB or 12GB RAM variant with up to 256GB of storage, but AYANEO took everyone by surprise by also introducing the Pocket S2 Pro. The Pro version comes equipped with a larger battery, faster charging, increased storage, and a detachable D-pad.
You can expect the Pro version to boast a 10,000mAh battery (compared to 8,000mAh), support up to 60W PD charging, and offer a 16GB/512GB storage configuration. It also features a removable D-pad, which is not prevalent in handheld devices. While the Pocket S2 Pro doesn’t match the AYANEO 3's level of modularity, it still makes waves as a versatile and long-lasting handheld.
AYANEO also announced two limited edition models of the S2 Pro: the Retro Power and B.Duck color options. The Retro Power version has become a mainstay in AYANEO's lineup, while the B.Duck version marks the first time an Android handheld has been adorned with the B.Duck branding. For the uninitiated, B.Duck is a beloved toy brand known for its duck-themed products aimed at children.
Pre-orders for the revamped AYANEO Pocket S2 lineup kick off at $439 for the standard model during Indiegogo and $559 for the Pro model. With a retail price of $619, you can secure a significant discount during this campaign.
