DP World, a global leader in logistics, is set to take centre stage at the upcoming Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Global 2025 event in Detroit. The company, designated as the 'Knowledge Partner' for ALSC since 2023, will be leading a panel discussion titled 'Simulating supply chains: Combating unpredictability with scenario planning tools and collaboration'.

The panel session, scheduled for September 24, will be led by Beat Simon, the chief operating officer of logistics at DP World. The discussion aims to highlight transforming disruption into opportunities through digital platforms, urgent logistics, standalone strategies, and partnerships that provide stability and agility in volatile global automotive supply chains.

The panel will focus on how digital simulations and predictive data modelling are transforming resilience in the automotive supply chain. Insights shared will focus on how scenario planning tools and collaboration enhance supply chain resilience against unpredictability by enabling flexible, technology-driven responses and real-time visibility.

DP World has been working with leading OEMs to simulate 'what-if' scenarios, optimize routing, and create agile options across sea, land, and rail. This approach has been instrumental in handling 10% of global automotive trade across the full automotive supply chain.

The survey results, which highlight issues such as visibility gaps, inconsistent transit times, and missed supplier deliveries, will inform future decision-making, including the right regions, routes, infrastructure, and technology for the industry to invest in for future resilience and performance.

The Automotive Inbound Logistics Survey, developed in partnership between Automotive Logistics and DP World, has been launched. The survey findings are expected to help the industry by providing insights into real-world constraints facing OEMs.

DP World's participation at ALSC Global is not limited to the panel discussion. The company will also be showcasing how digital tools can help OEMs and suppliers navigate the rapidly changing automotive sector, including EV transitions, new major markets and players, and geopolitical volatility.

Engaging with global audiences across the ALSC network allows DP World to stay close to local market challenges. The company offers a full spectrum of supply chain solutions for the automotive industry, including finished vehicle and inbound logistics, CKD packing, and more.

The goal of DP World's participation at ALSC Global is to show how their network and innovative tools have the potential to unlock better decision-making, reduce risk, and deliver measurable savings across global inbound networks. The panel discussion produced by Automotive Logistics in partnership with DP World is expected to provide practical approaches for building stronger, more adaptable supply chains amid uncertainty.

The event Automotive Logistics & Supply Chain Global 2025 is taking place in Detroit, providing an excellent platform for DP World to share its expertise and insights with the global automotive industry.
