Preparation underway at Ather's Hosur facility, bolstered by TVS ILP, to meet the demand during festive seasons

Preparing Hosur facility along with TVS ILP assistance by Ather to meet the surge in demand during festivals.

In a packed event, Ather Energy showcased its latest innovations, including the unveiling of the new EL platform and the expansion of its scooter lineup.

The EL platform, designed by the Bengaluru-based company led by cofounder and CEO Tarun Mehta, is designed to support multiple energy levels and scooter configurations. This development marks a significant step towards Ather's diversification of its scooter offerings.

Among the new additions to Ather's product lineup are the Ather Energy 450x, priced at ₹ 1.49 Lakhs, and the Ather Energy 450 Apex, priced at ₹ 1.90 Lakhs. Both models boast top speeds of 90 kmph and 100 kmph respectively. The Ather Energy Rizta, priced at ₹75,999, and the Ather Energy 450S, priced at ₹84,341, also made their debut, with top speeds of 80 kmph and 90 kmph respectively.

In addition to hardware, Ather's strategy extends beyond the scooter itself, with a focus on enhancing the broader ownership experience. This was evident in the rollout of AtherStack 7.0, a software update that brings crash alerts, pothole warnings, and voice interaction in Indian languages.

The event also saw the launch of the lightweight scooter, Ather Redux, priced at ₹53,880, with a top speed of 25 kmph.

The Hosur unit of Ather has a impressive production rate of one vehicle every 0.46 seconds, thanks in part to the infrastructural and tech-enabled solutions provided by TVS ILP. Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Chief Operating Officer at Ather Energy, highlighted TVS ILP's role in enabling timely, cost-effective expansion at Ather.

Ramnath Subramaniam, Joint Managing Director at TVS ILP, emphasised the importance of positioning charging parks closer to consumption hubs to stay ahead of demand surges while maintaining service excellence. Ather also spoke about faster charging solutions at the event.

The event indicated a growing focus on Tier II and III cities, as these areas increasingly account for festive demand. The company also discussed plans for incremental accessories.

The plant's proximity to South India's consumption hubs also helps cut down distribution time, ensuring a swift delivery of Ather's innovative scooters to the hands of its customers.
