"Ready Meal Delivery Expansion: Wildberries Russia Planning Delivery Services in Krasnodar and Sochi"

In an exciting development, online retail giant Wildberries and technology powerhouse Russ have announced significant strides in their FoodTech initiative. The partnership, formed through a merger of two market leaders in IT and technology based in Russia, is expanding its logistics and operational capabilities.

The FoodTech initiative offers over 450 ready-to-eat options through its marketplace, a joint venture between Wildberries and Russ. Remarkably, the service delivers these meals within an hour, using partner services. Prices through the marketplace will be the same as ordering from external services, and no additional commission will be charged.

Elizaveta Shleyn, the head of delivery services, stated that the FoodTech initiative is just getting started. She emphasized that they are focusing on improving and expanding the service, following a previous short-lived attempt in 2021. The pilot phase of this service will launch in Moscow and St. Petersburg, with future plans to expand to Krasnodar and Sochi, as well as Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Ufa, and Tyumen.

Despite regulatory challenges in the food industry, such as tightening controls on pricing by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), no explicit pricing details have been released for the FoodTech partnership's products or services. However, the companies have been working over the past four years to make technical improvements and gather user feedback to enhance functionality.

In addition to the FoodTech initiative, Wildberries and Russ are investing in a comprehensive 320-lesson program to enhance technology and service quality in 2025. This program focuses on innovation and development within their technological and market approach.

The latest update on the FoodTech initiative also includes the announcement of a new logistics center for Wildberries & Russ set to open in the Ulyanovsk region as of mid-2025. This strategic expansion is aimed at enhancing their supply chain and distribution network.

In summary, Wildberries and Russ are strengthening their infrastructure and capability to scale the FoodTech initiative regionally, while navigating regulatory environments impacting pricing. The companies are committed to providing high-quality, affordable ready-to-eat meals to customers across multiple regions.

The FoodTech initiative, a joint venture between Wildberries and Russ, offers a wide variety of ready-to-eat meals and incorporates technology to deliver them promptly. The partnership is planning to expand their service to cities like Krasnodar, Sochi, Yaroslavl, Novosibirsk, Ufa, and Tyumen, while also investing in a 320-lesson program aimed at enhancing technology and service quality in 2025.
