Winners of the General Categories

The awards ceremony recognized virtual reality and augmented reality projects in eight categories. In the Enterprise & Productivity Solution category, Synergiz, a French company from the Microsoft village, was distinguished for its mixed reality solution, Synergiz Harbor. This collaborative management tool and 3D visualization tool aims to streamline organizational processes and promote ecological sustainability.

Mixed reality also shone in the Hardware category, with HTC Vive winning for the VIVE XR Elite. Compatible with PC or standalone use, controllers or hand-tracking, and offering mixed and virtual reality visions, the VIVE XR Elite has proven to be an innovative and versatile device.

Virtual worlds were a popular category, with Aptera's metaverse platform receiving recognition for its user-friendly functionality and compatibility with collaborative tools like Microsoft Teams. Noise Makers won an award in the Developer & Authoring Tools category for their Virtual Acoustic Mixer that generates advanced audio simulations and effects in virtual environments.

Immersive and Inclusive Solutions

In the XR for a Cause category, the Meta Table β tool by Kanagawa Institute of Technology stood out for empowering people with disabilities by allowing them to control an avatar-robot in a café setting, facilitating social interactions. Audace, in partnership with Bridgestone, was recognized for their immersive training program designed to give underqualified job seekers the technical skills necessary for employment in the company's production line.

The Marketing or Advertising Campaign category was won by Vrisch Multimedia Production for their "From Fire to Flame: The Journey of Light" project, a virtual reality experience that traces the evolution of lighting in our world. The avant-garde experiment MEcholocation won the #Research category, probing the question of whether humans can see the world without their eyes, introducing a new communication method inspired by echolocation used by bats and dolphins.

The #Students category featured student projects, with the "Demo" part recognizing students from the Master MTI3D of the Arts et Métiers Institute of Laval, integrating artificial intelligence into a playful immersive experience, and the "Limited Time" part honoring the IUT of Tarbes for its Quality Assurance Test Protocol experience, an asymmetric game testing the authenticity and functionality of prostheses.
