Deutsche Telekom has announced a significant upgrade to its WLAN speeds in the city of Quedlinburg, Germany. As of September 19, 2025, around 8,878 households in the city now have access to a blazing-fast download speed of 250 Mbit/s, with an additional 161 households in the Bad Suderode district enjoying an upload speed of 40 Mbit/s.

Georg von Wagner, a spokesperson for Deutsche Telekom, emphasised the importance of providing more bandwidth for smooth home WLAN operation. This increased speed allows customers to surf the net, stream, work, and game at high speeds simultaneously, making digital learning and working from home more efficient.

The new speed can be booked online at www.telekom.de/schneller, by phone (new customers can call 0800 330 3000, existing customers can call 0800 330 1000, and small and medium-sized businesses can call 0800 330 1300), or in stores. Deutsche Telekom has installed new system technology in five grey boxes along the roadside in Quedlinburg's Bad Suderode district for network expansion. This move is part of the company's ongoing efforts to expand its network in Quedlinburg, ensuring that more residents have access to high-speed internet services.

With this upgrade, Quedlinburg residents can enjoy faster and smoother speedtest connectivity, making their digital lives more convenient and efficient.
