New MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS Helmet Hits the Market

August 2025 has seen the release of the highly anticipated MET Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS helmet. The product, available for purchase and shipping since its launch, promises to revolutionize the world of road cycling with its innovative design and focus on rider safety.

Developed in Met's wind tunnel with feedback from Tadej Pogacar, the new Trenta MIPS aims to build on the success of its predecessor, known for its impressive ventilation properties and rotational impact safety. The helmet features a lightweight 3K carbon fiber shell, embedded with carbon cage technology, and the MIPS Air rotational management system.

Positioned as a premium road cycling helmet, the Trenta 3K Carbon MIPS is an updated version of the helmet Pogacar has been wearing since 2019. The high-end model weighs approximately 220-265g depending on size.

One of the key improvements in the new Trenta is its aerodynamic design. The helmet boasts a new carbon-fibre cage, an all-new inlet structure, and two pronounced exhaust ports on the upper rear section. These features work together to distribute air more evenly across the head, enhancing ventilation and aerodynamics.

Safety has been a primary concern in the development of the new Trenta. The helmet's shell has been designed to withstand greater energy during impacts, and it features a more solid surfacing around the flanks to aid in aerodynamics. The MIPS system, an industry-leading technology, further enhances the helmet's protection capabilities.

Met has hinted that the new Trenta MIPS might be launched in the last quarter of 2025. With its focus on improving ventilation and safety, the new Trenta MIPS is set to redefine the standards in road cycling helmets.
