Revamping Belkin's Innovative CES Power Bank: A Camcorder Grip and Shutter Button for Your iPhone
At CES 2025, Belkin introduced an impressive lineup of creator-centric products, including the Stage Creator Bundle, audio products, and charging devices. A standout item was the Stage PowerGrip, featuring a camcorder-like design with a built-in shutter button, substantial battery capacity, and the ability to charge up to three devices simultaneously.
The Belkin Stage PowerGrip is a 10,000mAh power bank boasting MagSafe compatibility for wireless iPhone attachment, supporting both horizontal and vertical shooting orientations. It's compatible with iPhone 12 models and beyond. This device connects to your iPhone via Bluetooth, enabling shutter button usage without screen contact. There's also a tiny LED display displaying the battery's remaining charge percentage.
Belkin isn't the only company to produce camcorder-style power banks with a wireless Bluetooth shutter button; I've previously used the ShiftCam ProGrip, a comfortable device to hold. Nevertheless, the Belkin offering surpasses it in three aspects:
- The Belkin power bank boasts a larger battery cell (10,000mAh) compared to the 6,400mAh battery found on the ShiftCam competitor.
- Belkin's power bank allows for simultaneous charging of three devices: MagSafe for iPhone, USB-C for other devices, and a built-in retractable cable for an additional accessory.
- Belkin intends to keep the price below $80, significantly cheaper than ShiftCam's current asking price of $150.
Belkin also unveiled the Stage Creator Bundle at CES 2025, including a tripod, clip-on microphones, an audio receiver, and a charging case for the mics. However, the tripod isn't the Auto-Tracking Stand Pro from the previous year; instead, it's a MagSafe-compatible fixed-angle tripod.
Other notable Belkin CES 2025 announcements include:
- A small, compact BoostCharge USB-C 45W/65W charger, planned for March 2025 release.
- The BoostCharge Pro Wireless Charging Pad with 15W Qi2 support and a built-in kickstand, arriving in April 2025.
- A powerful 20,000mAh power bank with a retractable cable, set to debut in April 2025.
- New Soundform Isolate noise-canceling headphones at an affordable $60 price point and semi-open ear Soundform Anywhere earbuds, with release dates still to be announced.
Unfortunately, the pricing details for the charging products have not yet been publicized, as they won't be available for purchase before at least April 2025. So, keep an eye out for these exciting new Belkin accessories!
