Karma Automotive Unveils the 2026 Gyesera Grande Coupe: A New Chapter in Luxury Hybrid Performance

Karma Automotive, the only U.S. automaker dedicated to ultra-luxury hybrid extended-range vehicles, has unveiled its latest masterpiece at Monterey Car Week 2022 – the 2026 Karma Gyesera Grande Coupe.

The Gyesera represents a significant leap forward in performance, technology, and design, building upon the legacy of its predecessor, the Karma Revero. With an output of 566 horsepower and 546 lb-ft of torque, the Gyesera accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 4.0 seconds, setting it apart as a high-performance luxury hybrid electric vehicle.

The Gyesera's lightweight design, achieved through the use of aluminum and carbon-reinforced composites, enhances its agility and contributes to its impressive acceleration. It rides on 22-inch forged billet aluminum wheels with custom Pirelli tires, designed to reduce rolling resistance and improve ride quality over long distances.

In terms of design and technology, the Gyesera follows a clean, modern aesthetic with a low-slung, four-seat Grande Coupe layout. Its luxury interior is specified with exclusive "Moondust" leather and "Atmosphere Blue" accents. The cabin design emphasizes simplicity and refinement, with a driver-centric tech approach powered by the Qualcomm 8155-based Cockpit Information Controller (CIC) platform. The digital interface prioritizes intuitive functionality, featuring a new HVAC control system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and immersive "Target Acquisition" graphics that adapt to driving modes. Over-the-Air (OTA) updates and AI-driven diagnostics enhance maintenance and in-car services.

The Gyesera is a clean-sheet rethink of the Karma Revero, offering several key improvements. Compared to the Revero, the Gyesera's powertrain is the latest iteration of Karma's hybrid extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) powertrain, its construction features more extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced composites, and its technology is powered by the Qualcomm 8155 CIC platform with a new HMI and more advanced AI/OTA capability.

The Gyesera is positioned as a more performance-oriented, lighter, and technologically advanced vehicle compared to the Revero, redefining Karma Automotive’s luxury grand coupe segment while advancing the hybrid powertrain and cabin technology.

For those seeking even higher performance, Karma will also introduce the Amaris GT Coupe in 2026, boasting up to 708 horsepower and a price around $200,000. However, the Gyesera remains the more accessible model, with production scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2025 and a starting price around $165,000.

Practical features in the Gyesera's interior include a wireless charger beneath the armrest, USB-C ports for both rows of seats, and redesigned front chairs that offer 15% more rear legroom. The Gyesera's introduction signals Karma's intent to not just survive but to thrive, with a full lineup planned for the next decade.

President and CEO Marques McCammon described the Gyesera as "the first page in the new chapter of Karma vehicles," marking a significant step forward for the automaker as it seeks to reclaim leadership in a niche that it helped invent.
