Rising costs and decreasing speed in mail delivery services

Deutsche Post, Germany's postal service company, has announced several changes that will take effect next year. These changes aim to address rising expenses and the decline in letter writing.

Starting next year, the standard delivery time for letters will be 3 days, as opposed to the current next-day delivery for most letters. However, next-day delivery will only be possible for registered mail. Sending a letter as registered mail ensures next-day delivery, but it is more expensive than a regular letter, and the cost of sending a registered letter has not been specified in this article.

In line with these changes, the cost of sending a postcard will increase from 70 cents to 95 cents. Similarly, each letter will cost more next year to ensure the postal service still earns enough revenue.

To compensate for these increased costs, Deutsche Post will provide additional time for delivering letters. This means that the postal service will have more time to deliver letters, starting next year.

To further enhance the service, Deutsche Post will notify you when a registered letter arrives. This feature is designed to provide customers with peace of mind and ensure they receive their important mail promptly.

These changes are part of Deutsche Post's efforts to adapt to the changing landscape of communication and ensure the continued provision of high-quality mail services. As always, the company remains committed to delivering your mail efficiently and securely.
