Samsung will reveal their latest foldable devices at the Unpacked event on Wednesday.

Samsung's much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event took place in Brooklyn, New York City on July 9, 2023, with a livestream available for viewers worldwide. The event marked a significant stride in foldable smartphone technology, as Samsung unveiled its latest additions to the Galaxy Z series.

Leading the pack was the Galaxy Z Fold 7, boasting an impressive 8-inch main Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen, 11% larger than its predecessor. The device also features a wider 5-inch cover screen with a new 21:9 aspect ratio, offering more immersive viewing and multitasking space. Weighing just 215 grams, the Z Fold 7 is ultra-thin and light, making it easier to carry than ever before.

The Z Fold 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, delivering peak performance and efficiency. It also introduces the first 200MP wide-angle camera in the Galaxy Z series, capable of capturing 4 times more detail and images 44% brighter than before. The device also sports a 10MP 100° camera on the cover display.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7, another highlight of the event, offers a full view cover screen for expanded usability without unfolding. It features an improved hinge mechanism and reduced crease visibility for a smoother folding experience. The device is equipped with the Exynos 2500 chipset.

In a move to cater to value-conscious users, a more affordable, slightly pared-down version of the Flip 7, called the Z Flip 7 FE, is rumored to be released. This new model will reportedly cost around $750 and will be powered by the Exynos 2400.

Regarding the Galaxy G Fold trifold phone, no specific detailed information was provided during the event. The primary focus was on the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 series foldables, alongside updates to Samsung's Galaxy smartwatches and software.

Samsung's commitment to innovation in foldable smartphone technology is evident in these new devices, which combine flagship-level performance with versatile, ultra-thin designs and advanced camera capabilities. The updated Galaxy smartwatches may include new health features, further solidifying Samsung's position as a leader in mobile technology.
