Sleep Cycle Chairman Relinquishes Position of Re-election

Sleep Cycle, the leading sleep tracking application with millions of daily active users, has announced that Lars Berg, its current chairman of the board of directors, will not be seeking re-election at the 2023 annual general meeting.

Berg, who has been at the helm since the company's initial public offering (IPO), has led Sleep Cycle through a period of high growth, good profitability, and strong cash generation. Since its launch in 2009, the company has helped millions of people understand their sleep habits and improve their sleep.

Lars Berg accepted the role with the promise to lead the work of the board of directors through the IPO and a few years thereafter. During his tenure, Sleep Cycle has become one of the world's most comprehensive sources for statistics on sleep, contributing to research and reporting on sleep worldwide.

The company, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm under the ticker SLEEP, has its head office in Gothenburg, Sweden. The mobile application helps users fall asleep more easily, tracks and analyzes sleep during the night, wakes the user in a light sleep phase, and provides insight into how sleep quality can be improved.

With Berg's decision not to re-elect himself, the question of who will replace him remains unanswered. Sleep Cycle AB's official announcements or press releases from relevant sources will likely provide this information in due course.

In the meantime, Per Andersson, the CFO and Head of Investor Relations at Sleep Cycle, can be contacted for enquiries. His contact information is per.andersson@our website and his phone number is 46 70 939 5327. Malin Abrahamsson, the Head of PR at Sleep Cycle, can also be reached at press@our website or on 46 73 972 6424.

Lars Berg, in his statement, considered his assignment at Sleep Cycle to be ending, and he believed it was a natural time for someone else to take over the role. He expressed that it had been a pleasure serving as the chairman of Sleep Cycle.

Sleep Cycle's mission remains steadfast: to improve global health by empowering people to sleep better. The 2023 annual general meeting of Sleep Cycle AB will take place, marking a new chapter in the company's journey towards better sleep for all.
