California-based Starpath, a rising star in space technology, manufactures its innovative Starlight solar panels in Hawthorne, CA. The company, focusing on robotics and automation, aims to revolutionize space power production with its affordable and efficient panels.

Starpath offers two Starlight models: an engineering version priced at $9.81 per watt and a flight model at $11.20 per watt. These panels target US commercial space companies, not NASA, and could potentially serve major aerospace players like SpaceX, which is heavily involved in national security and commercial spaceflight.

Starpath predicts that a staggering 98% of all space-based power production will cater to Mars missions. The company's goal is to make space-rated solar panels approximately 90% cheaper than the current industry standard, democratizing access to space power.
