SteelSeries Unveils World's First Hi-Res Wireless Gaming Headphones
SteelSeries has launched the Arctis Nova Elite, boasting the title of the world's first Hi-Res Wireless Certified gaming headphones. Priced at £600 / €650 / $600, and $650 for the APAC region, these headphones aim to rival high-end audio brands and premium gaming headsets.
The Arctis Nova Elite promises audiophile-grade performance with 24-bit/96kHz transmission over both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.3 connections. It features custom 40mm carbon fibre speaker drivers, designed to reproduce frequencies from 10Hz to 40kHz. The headphones offer about 30 hours of battery life on either connection type, with the Infinite Power System providing 'unlimited battery' life through a dual-battery setup, allowing hot-swapping for zero downtime.
SteelSeries' OmniPlay technology enables users to connect and mix audio from up to four sources simultaneously. The headphones also include 16-bit/32kHz auto-switching microphones with AI noise rejection, blocking up to 97% of background noise. Competing brands like Astro with the A50 Gen 5 and Nacon with the RIG 900 Max HS offer high-quality headsets, though they may not match the Arctis Nova Elite's hi-res audio capabilities.
The Arctis Nova Elite, priced at £600 / €650 / $600, and $650 for the APAC region, offers impressive features such as Hi-Res Wireless Certification, audiophile-grade performance, and active noise cancellation. With its competitive pricing and high-end specifications, it aims to challenge other premium gaming headphones and high-end audio brands in the market.
