Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 Get Stunning Visual Upgrade on Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has given Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 a significant visual upgrade for the Nintendo Switch. The games now feature nearly all textures revised to higher resolutions, with improved performance and graphics compared to previous versions. Originally released on the Wii, these classic games have been fully remastered for the Switch. They now run at 1080p in handheld mode and upscale to 4K on the TV, a significant leap from the original Switch version's 720p handheld resolution. The Switch version maintains a steady 2160p on TV without any issues, unlike the original Switch which scaled down to 918p in demanding scenes to maintain 60 frames per second. Nintendo has also enhanced the graphics with stronger texture filtering and shadows represented from a greater distance. This results in a noticeable improvement over the previous 3D All-Stars release. The Switch versions also benefit from the absence of anti-aliasing, which caused flickering in the original Switch version. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are now available individually for $39.99 each or as a bundle for $69.99. Physical cards can be purchased at retailers like MediaMarkt, Saturn, or Amazon. With these enhancements, the games offer a significant graphical improvement over previous releases, making them a must-have for Switch owners.
