Google Teases Pixel 10 Pro Fold: A Closer Look
Google has set the tech world abuzz with its latest teaser videos, offering a glimpse into its major upgrades scheduled for August 20. Among the anticipated releases is the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google's next-generation foldable smartphone.
The teaser videos, now available on YouTube, do not reveal the device's Moonstone color option, but the hint is there for those who know where to look. The videos subtly criticize Apple for features still "coming soon," suggesting that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold may already be ahead in the race.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to boast a 6.4-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner display when unfolded, making it ideal for multitasking and entertainment. The device is equipped with a 5,015 mAh battery, 16GB RAM, and 256GB storage, powered by the next-gen Google Tensor G5 chip.
The phone offers advanced AI features with Gemini, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a high-strength hinge designed to last more than 10 years. The device is also expected to have a triple lens system, including a 48-megapixel primary camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide, and a 10.8-megapixel 5x zoom camera.
However, the teaser videos did not provide any new information about the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's triple lens system or its selfie camera, which is expected to be 10MP during launch. The inner display of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is showcased in the teaser, and it appears to have the same bezels as the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold design is similar to the 2024 Pixel 9 Pro Fold, with the selfie camera located at the top right corner of its inner display. The second teaser from Google showcased the design of the Pixel 10 phones, but no specific details about the Pixel 10's features were revealed.
Interestingly, both the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are rumored to be available in the Moonstone color. Google is offering a trade-in deal where eligible devices can get up to $760 back, applicable until September 4, 2025.
