On September 12, users across Russia reported experiencing difficulties with various services, including Avito, Alfa Bank, and Post Bank, as well as the System of Quick Payments (SBP).

The issues, which started around 10:10 AM Moscow time, affected both the web versions and mobile apps of these services. According to Downdetector, a popular service for monitoring outages, the problems were particularly noticeable with Avito, where a significant increase in user complaints was recorded.

The majority of complaints (83.7%) came from mobile device owners, with 40.1% using Android and 43.6% using iOS. As of 11:15 AM, over 2,500 complaints had been recorded for the day.

The outage affected various regions of Russia, with St. Petersburg (4%), Moscow and the Moscow region (3% each), the Republic of Khakassia (5%), and Zabaykalsky Krai (3%) reporting the most complaints.

Despite the widespread issues, Avito has acknowledged user complaints and stated that the site and app are currently operating normally. However, the company attributes the problems to "problems with traffic reaching Avito services." The search results do not provide information about the name of the company responsible for the traffic issues affecting the services of the platform "Avito."

The outage also affected the services of Alfa Bank, Post Bank, and the System of Quick Payments. Both banks' mobile apps and main services were affected, leading to widespread service outages on September 12.

Less than 1% of Avito's daily 26 million users were affected, according to the company. Despite this, the outage caused inconvenience for many users who were unable to load pages, post, or search for ads on the popular classifieds site.

As of the time of writing, the issues are reportedly being resolved, and services are gradually returning to normal. Users are advised to monitor the situation and check the status of the services they rely on before attempting to use them.
