The classic game "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine" is set for an update, announcing a remastered version.
The popular third-person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, is set to return, returning to modern gaming platforms with a revamped Master Crafted Edition. SneakyBox, the port developer, has described this update as a careful restoration, embracing the essence of the original game while tailoring it for a new generation of players.
The Master Crafted Edition comes equipped with improved graphics, a modernized user interface, and updated control scheme. Notably, the Orks have received a visual upgrade, aligning their appearance with their current representation in the Warhammer 40k franchise. Additionally, over one hundred new voice lines have been added to enhance the gaming experience.
Originally developed by Relic Entertainment in 2011, the original Space Marine received positive reviews. Although two sequels were planned, they never materialized due to THQ's closure. Sega, after acquiring Relic, re-released the game on PC in 2021. saber Interactive is now developing the sequel, set for release in 2024, with its follow-up already in the works.
Sega still holds the rights to the first Space Marine. Presently, no PlayStation 5 version of the Master Crafted Edition has been announced. If you wish to play the remastered game, it will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, or through Xbox Game Pass, starting from June 10.
