Toto Opens $224M US Plant, Boosting Luxury Toilet Production

Japanese sanitary ware giant Toto has opened a new $224 million manufacturing plant in Morrow, Georgia, USA. The facility, completed in November 2024, will start production in the fall of 2025. CEO Taro Muroi hailed it as 'the next chapter' in the company's US manufacturing news, strengthening ties with local stakeholders.

Spanning 33,800 sqm, the plant includes a three-story building with 15,000 sqm dedicated to advanced manufacturing. It will produce an additional 300,000 luxury one-piece toilets annually, boosting Toto's Americas capacity to 1.3 million units.

The Morrow factory boasts key innovations like a tank bonding robot, 34 automated robots, automated guided vehicles, and two new convection-heated kilns slated for 2027. This shift from Asia-based plants to North America is part of Toto's strategy to enhance manufacturing resilience and sustainability.

The new Morrow facility, a significant investment in Toto's Americas growth, is set to bolster production and news. It underscores the company's commitment to local partnerships and community engagement, as highlighted by CEO Taro Muroi.
