Trump's Principal Aide's Mobile Device is Under Cyber Assault by Hackers.

Updated News Text:

U.S. President Donald Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles, is reported to be under federal investigation following a hacking incident on her personal cell phone. The Wall Street Journal reported that anonymous individuals targeted Wiles, using artificial intelligence to mimic her voice and contact high-profile politicians, business leaders, and other prominent figures.

Government officials suspect that the hackers reached Wiles' contacts through her personal device, raising security concerns due to her close advisory role to the President. According to the newspaper's sources, the impersonators sent calls and messages to recipients, shifting conversations to platforms like Telegram in some instances.

Federal authorities, led by FBI Director Kash Patel, are actively investigating the matter as a top cybersecurity priority, acknowledging the seriousness of the threats against senior administration officials. The White House, when questioned, affirmed the importance they place on cybersecurity for their staff, stating that the incident remains under investigation.

Susie Wiles is the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff, boasting a four-decade-long career in politics. She has worked for various presidents and congressional members in Washington D.C., governors, and mayors in Florida. Wiles managed Trump's 2020 campaign, although he lost the White House, and remains part of his inner circle.

The hack on Wiles' phone is not her first cybersecurity incident. In 2024, Iranian hackers reportedly breached her personal email account, obtaining sensitive information related to then-Vice President JD Vance.

The use of AI voice imitation has been confirmed in this case, with the hackers using the technology to impersonate Wiles' voice, adding a layer of sophistication to the deception. The incident underscores the increasing risks of personal device hacking for high-level officials and the necessity for robust cybersecurity measures, including safeguarding cloud accounts, personal devices, and adopting secure messaging platforms resistant to exploitation.
