TVS Motor Reports Record Q2 Sales, Electric Vehicles Surge 8%
TVS Motor Company has reported robust sales growth for its electric vehicles and two-wheelers in September 2025. The company's electric vehicle sales surged by 8% year-on-year, reaching 31,266 units. Meanwhile, its total two-wheeler sales stood at 5,41,064 units, marking a 12% year-on-year growth.
Looking at the quarterly performance, TVS Motor Company sold 15.07 lakh units in Q2FY26, setting a new record for the company. This impressive figure represents a 22% growth compared to the same period last year. Breaking down the two-wheeler sales for September 2025, TVS sold 2,49,621 motorcycles and 2,18,928 scooters, marking a 9% and 17% year-on-year growth respectively.
Honda, a key competitor, also reported strong sales in September 2025. The company sold a total of 5,68,164 units, with 5,05,693 units in the domestic market and 62,471 units in exports. This represents a 6% month-on-month growth for Honda.
In the Year-to-Date (April-September FY26), Honda's total sales stood at 29,91,024 units. TVS Motor Company, on the other hand, has shown significant growth in both its electric vehicle and two-wheeler segments, setting new records and outpacing its competitors. Both companies are expected to continue their strong performance in the upcoming months.
