Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Refinery and Fertilizer Plant with Drones
Ukraine has targeted a Russian oil refinery in the southern Ural region using drones, according to the governor of Orenburg region, Yevgeny Solonshev. The attack took place in Orsk, near the Kazakh border, far from Ukrainian positions. No casualties were reported from the attack on the refinery or a nearby fertilizer plant in Berezniki, Perm region, which was also targeted.
The oil refinery in Orsk faced multiple drone strikes, with technical processes remaining unaffected. Earlier, Ukraine attacked a fertilizer plant in Berezniki, causing only brief disruptions to production. In this latest incident, a residential building near the fertilizer plant was damaged. The Ukrainian military confirmed these attacks, adding to a series of strikes on Russian infrastructure in recent weeks.
The drone attacks on the oil refinery and fertilizer plant in Russia highlight the evolving tactics of the Ukrainian military. While no casualties were reported, the incidents underscore the potential impact of such strikes on Russian industrial facilities. The Ukrainian government has not yet commented on these latest attacks.
