Unlocking various Donkey Kong Bananza amiibo figures and a guide on using amiibo in the game.

In the vibrant world of Donkey Kong Bananza, players can enhance their gaming experience by scanning various amiibos. However, one amiibo stands out for unlocking a special outfit for Pauline - the Donkey Kong & Pauline amiibo. Here's how you can unlock Pauline's Diva Dress early in the game.

To unlock Pauline's Diva Dress early in Donkey Kong Bananza, follow these steps:

  1. Reach the Resort Layer (SL 800): This is a specific level or area deep into the game.
  2. Navigate to the Tropical Retreat area and look for an NPC named Collectone to the right of the Style Shop.
  3. Talk to Collectone, who shows an interest in amiibos and will ask if you can show one.
  4. When prompted, scan the Donkey Kong & Pauline amiibo with your Switch controller.

By following these steps, you will instantly unlock Pauline's Diva Dress along with a bonus effect that doubles the Music Disc drop rate from defeated enemies.

It's important to note that simply scanning the amiibo from the pause menu or elsewhere outside of Collectone's prompt does not unlock the outfit. You can also unlock the Diva Dress by completing the game and a post-story mission, but using the amiibo via Collectone unlocks it early.

The Donkey Kong & Pauline amiibo is unique in unlocking this specific outfit, while other DK amiibos unlock different bonuses like explosive KONG tiles.

In Donkey Kong Bananza, scanning any non-DK amiibo summons a ball of a random material (ice, crystal, rock, Boom Rock), and smashing gold KONG tiles fills Bananergy, which can be spent in the game. Material spheres, obtained by scanning any non-DK amiibo, can be used to create an explosion or interact with other hazards.

The Collectone, who is located to the right of the Style Shop, is the only place where you can scan the Donkey Kong & Pauline amiibo to unlock the Diva Dress early. The Fractone NPC, found roughly halfway through Donkey Kong Bananza in SL 800, is another location where you can scan amiibos.

So, if you're eager to add some style to Pauline in Donkey Kong Bananza, remember to scan the Donkey Kong & Pauline amiibo at the Collectone NPC in the Resort Layer (SL 800) to unlock Pauline's Diva Dress early. Happy gaming!
