Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 have complained about a decline in camera performance following the installation of the One UI 7 update.

In a surprising turn of events, users of the newly released Galaxy S23 series have reported significant deterioration in their phone's camera quality following the installation of the One UI 7 update. The issues, which include blurry photos, faded colours, lack of detail, noisy night mode shots, and delays in the camera app operation, are affecting various devices in the Galaxy S23 lineup, including the S23 Ultra and S23 FE models.

Despite attempts at troubleshooting such as clearing caches, resetting settings, and disabling certain features, most users have found no reliable workaround. Samsung has yet to issue an official statement regarding the camera issues with the One UI 7 update, but support teams have been encouraging affected users to report their problems through the Samsung Members app, suggesting that the company is actively gathering user feedback to identify and resolve these issues.

The camera issues are not limited to the S23 Ultra, with standard S23 and S23 FE models also experiencing similar problems. Some users have reported issues with the camera app, such as delays when switching between modes or going back and forth between selfie shooter and primary cameras.

While some Galaxy S23 series users have found temporary fixes for the camera issues, such as clearing the camera cache, resetting camera preferences, and experimenting with pro mode, the effectiveness of these fixes varies from user to user. The cameras seem to perform worse in low-light scenarios, with users noting blurry, washed-out, and less sharp photos after the update.

Community moderators and support teams are encouraging affected users to submit error reports through the Samsung Members app, indicating that Samsung may address the issues with a future update. As of now, no specific timeline or official patch has been announced for the One UI 7 camera performance issues on the Galaxy S23 series.

Before its update, the Galaxy S23 Ultra was praised for its camera prowess, making the current issues all the more concerning for users. Samsung is yet to comment on whether the One UI 7 update has affected the camera performance of other Galaxy devices or if the issues are exclusive to the S23 series.
