2024 Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) Announces Winners
The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) has announced the winners of its 2024 edition, honoring projects that are redefining the built environment across various disciplines. This year's winners represent exceptional design talent globally, with a mission aligned with sustainability and innovation.
The most prominent and clearly identified Best of Best winner in 2024 AMP is the John A. Paulson Center at New York University. This project was specifically recognized with the Best of Best Restoration & Renovation award by the AMP in 2024. The John A. Paulson Center has also received numerous other prestigious awards, including the AIA Tri-State Merit Award, SCUP Excellence in Architecture Merit Award, AIA Philadelphia Honor Award, and the Architizer A+ Awards Jury Winner in Higher Education & Research Facilities, among others.
In the category of Hospitality Architecture, Lakeside Teahouse by Domain Architects took home the top prize. The MPavilion 10 by Tadao And won the award for Small Architecture, while The New Museum of Ethnography, Budapest by NAPUR Architect Ltd. won for Cultural Architecture. Canvas House by PARTISANS won the award for Residential Architecture, and The Ravine by A Work of Substance won the award for Residential Interior.
Omar Gandhi Architects (Canada) was named Interior Design Firm of the Year, and The Interior Design of the Year was awarded to Nobu by Cuaik CDS (Mexico). MykoFoam by Mykor received the Product Design of the Year award.
Dominique Coulon & Associés (France) was named Architecture Firm of the Year, and James Corner was named Landscape Firm of the Year. The Architectural Design of the Year was awarded to the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center by Rockwell Group (USA). Albrecht Voss (Germany) was named Exterior Architecture Photographer of the Year, and Franco Casaccia (Argentina) was named Interior Architecture Photographer of the Year.
A new award, the Social Impact Project of the Year, was introduced and awarded to a social housing project in Spain, 54 Social Housing in Inca, Mallorca, Balearic Islands by Fortuny-Alventosa, Morell Arquitectes (F-AM Arquitectes). The Landscape Architecture of the Year was awarded to Qin Lake Park: From Culture to Nature by Grasp Earth Architecture & Landscape Design Co., Ltd. (China).
