Xiaomi unveils enhanced smart surveillance camera, showcasing remarkable capabilities
The tech giant Xiaomi has launched its latest security camera, the Smart Camera 4C, which is now available for pre-order in China. The Smart Camera 4C is a budget-friendly option, boasting solid features and improvements over its predecessor.
Key features of the Smart Camera 4C include a sharper 6 MP sensor, offering a video resolution of 3200 x 1800 pixels (3.5K), and AI-enhanced night vision for bright, clear footage. The camera is also equipped with an upgraded dual-band WiFi 6 chip, providing improved wireless coverage and smoother live previews.
The Smart Camera 4C offers a full 360-degree horizontal viewing angle and 116° vertical coverage, ensuring comprehensive coverage of your home or office. The device supports cloud, NAS, and physical microSD storage, offering flexibility in data management.
In addition, the Smart Camera 4C includes a physical lens cover and 940 nm infrared fill lights, enhancing privacy and night recording capabilities. The device is priced at approximately 199 CNY (~$28 or £20) in the Chinese market.
While the Smart Camera 4C is currently available for pre-order in China, Xiaomi has not yet announced a global release date. A launch event planned for September 2025 might provide details on its international availability. If you're outside China, you would currently need to wait for Xiaomi’s formal global launch announcement to know when the Smart Camera 4C becomes available internationally.
