Young Entrepreneur Alexander Hellwig Shows Off Thriving Tech Business in Nordhorn
Alexander Hellwig, a successful young entrepreneur, welcomed Lower Saxony's Minister of Finance Reinhold Hilbers and local politicians to his company, Hellwig Elektrotechnik, located in Nordhorn's young, inner-city industrial area of Bosinks Kamp.
Hellwig founded the company in 2015 in his garage, later expanding to a 2,200 square meter plot. It specializes in switchgear construction, electrical installations, smart building technology, and charging stations for electric mobility. The company's location offers quick access to customers within and outside Nordhorn via the northern bypass and eastern tangent.
Hellwig Elektrotechnik employs six people, including the company owner. Economic developer Karsten Müller praised Hellwig for recognizing market demand and taking the right steps. However, Hellwig identified a shortage of skilled workers and bureaucratic hurdles as major challenges for his business. The CDU parliamentary group also participated in the visit, connecting with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
Hellwig Elektrotechnik, under Alexander Hellwig's leadership, has grown from a garage startup to a successful company in Nordhorn's industrial area. Despite facing challenges, Hellwig's entrepreneurial spirit and the company's strategic location continue to drive its growth and potential.
